Aaron’s Introduction
This is going to be kind of an introduction post, as well as a brief talk on technology, my experiences with it, and what I’m bringing to the table here.
My name is Aaron, and I’m a member of The Satanic Temple. Being a member is a newer event for me; I grew up in a very religious household (Christianity), and by the time I was 15 had fully shifted away from the church and had been disillusioned by the hypocrisy and issues within organized religion. Within 10 years, I had fully started to question if what I had been raised with was actually true or not, and within the next few years started to unravel the tapestry that can only be described as indoctrination.
I had started to get into tech when I was a pre-teen. By the age of 13 I had already coded my first website by hand in Notepad; had used assembly and soldered my own circuit board / programmed it. Had built multiple desktops with my stepdads help. I was encouraged to ‘use my talents for the glory of god’ – well, now I figured it’s time to devote my talents to TST instead.
My first major project as a Councilman of the Friends of TST Oregon group is getting our website going. Please be patient with us as we continue to add content over the next several months and flush out any issues we may have. I see this as a place to gather our collective knowledge and grow together as a community.
